Bottle: Clear red brown colour, with a nice brown creamy head. Aroma of lots of malts, fruity, citic and jeasty!. Flavor was almost the same, but has a typical Belgians strong ale touch, but still a bock enyway, caramelly and a a bit chocolate init was it too. Liqoury finish do this beer a werry nice one. Coplex but enyway typical for this type of beer. Medium to full body, and a nice long finish. Werry nice Winter bock!

(Bottled) Very dark brown with a smallish, but lacy and firm, beige head. Pleasantly malty aroma with strong banana fruitiness and some wheat. Even has some Abt-like character. Neutral-malty flavor with some dried-fruitiness and some unclean, glueish sourness can’t quite match the wonderful aroma. Medium to full-bodied with balanced carbonation. This really is a winter bock ... very nice overall, with the unclean glueness being the only fault!

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a murky brown with a very small tan head. Aroma is very sweet, like childrens’ sweets with hints of caramel, honey, nuts and malts. Taste is really complex, caramel, honey and all different notes of malt. Nice long finish of hoppy bitterness and honey-like-sweetness, a very good bock

iep (230) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 30, 2007
Dark murky brown body with a dense off-white head. Roasted malt and spices on the nose, growing more complex with time, revealing dark fruit, caramel, Rochefort-like yeastiness. Promising! The taste is in fact really Rochefort-like, but with a subtle sour twang, and more roasted malt. Liqourice shows in the finish, as well as cinnamon and some chocolate. Really harmonious and balanced - one of the better bocks I’ve had all year, rivaling even SNAB’s Ijsbok. Very good!

Very complex doppelbock. It slowly develops lot’s of flavours from sweet and roasted smokey malts. Nice foamy head. Good deep brown/red colour. Aftertaste lingers on and on with the most pleasant bitters.
