COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boiled for 20 hours to create an umami flavour. Umami is the fifth basic taste next to sweet, sour, salty and bitter. By doing so we have now a beer that’s very thick and oily with loads of roasted malts.

Bottled & Tap @ Copenhagen 2010. Dark color, short head. Lovely chocolat aroma, coffee, big malty, umami? Big malty taste, great lingering palate. Thick body.

29/06/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (tap).

Small bottle, looks really good. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Heavy malty aroma, modest sweet. Starts complex-malty, fine chocolate notes, a bit smokey. Also some woody-sweet notes. Finish still sweet, strong-malty, also with a salty touch. Quite drinkable for its strength. Good beer!

Woow! I had this on tap. It gave me a shiver when I drought the first swallow! Chocolate taste and a little bit toasty in the finish. Medium carbonation, with low persistent froth. The alcohol is very noticeable. So good.

De molen ziel and zaligheid. 20cl bottle acquired via trade. One bottle out of 96... Pours deeper and thicker than the wild turkey h&v with a more intense blackness and barely less intense reddish brown edge. An aggressive swirl yields a thin flimsy swirl of a deeper tan head, barely considered head as a matter of fact... Aroma of ink and and an unexpected smokiness, a little sulphur and intense bittersweet dark chocolate... Flavors are intense and assertive with ink and a peated smokiness upfront. Thick and charry with deep bittersweet dark chocolate and a roasted feel to it. Full bodied. Almost islay whiskeylike in nature. Finish gets a little inky. 7/4/8/4/15

10/10 i mörkhet. Luktar syrligt, choklad. Smakar väldigt rökigt, lite jordgubbar och choklad. Lite choklad och besk eftersmak.

bottle brewed 11 april 09 at dak’s on 8/14/10. orange-yellowy tinted brownish black with no head. wow! the aroma!... meaty/jerky, yeast, ash, roast, chocolate, wood, rubber, smoke, black olives and tangy barbecue sauce. the flavor is a lot alike.... ashy charcoal, umami and vanilla mix in there as well as a tartness on the finish. the aftertaste lingers as chocolate covered briquettes. it is a touch on the sweet side but the ash and alcohol really help keep the slickness in the medium body in check. 9/4/9/4/18+
