Grapefruit, orange in the nose with something else thatís great but I canít put my finger on it. Taste is also very citrusy with stoutish overtones that work remarkably well together. Yeah, definitely grapefruit in the flavour, lovely ! Mild carbonation and good, tight palate make this a winner.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Drank it almost 2 years after production.
Pours an average frothy light brown head. Body is black.
Aromas of malts, yeasts and hops.
Fruity at first, then roasted with coffee. I guess most of the hop flavors are gone which makes it more like a stout than an IPA. Still, quite good. I have to try it again with a fresher one.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Old note. Aroma has tropical fruits from the hops and some roast coffee more in the background. Dark coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is moderate bitter, has some toffee sweetness, tropical fruits, some coffee and roast. Medium bodied beer. Pretty decent.

Dark espresso, very reach taste, almost no smoke in it. The one I drank was well expired but still very good

De Molenís BIPA, thanks to Stefan for sharing. Towering, rocky, dense, creamy, light beige head over a very dark bronze beer, almost black. Aroma strikingly has a lot of orange juice at first, next to hints of marmelade, grapefruit peel, cedar, white pepper, chocolate, toasted bread, hazelnuts and iron but in a good way. Restrained dark fruitiness, raisins and dates but not too sweet, very nutty from the start, toasted with a smooth, soft, supple mouthfeel, a bit iron-like in the middle but not actually metallic, roasted bitter touch in the end as well as a sweeter chocolate touch, ending in a fragrant, grapefruity, resiny, long and deeply bittering hoppiness. Absolutely lovely.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared at Ashís. Pours black with a thick beige head. Aromas of light roast, coffee, pine. Taste is bitter, more pine, coffee, burnt orange. Definitely more of a stout on the finish.
First wee tasting of the summer

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from a corner shop.
Appearance - like an expresso.
Nose - more coffee notes. Dark chocolate.
Taste - there is a tangy orange note but generally this is all about roast flavours.
Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly decent finish.
Overall - itís a good stout not an ipa.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Opaque black with small tan head. Warm fruity (esp. cherry) aroma. Flavor is fruity without being sweet, and full of bitter coffee notes on the end. Medium body tending towards astringent. Beers like this make me happy.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours black with dense beige head. Aroma is very sweet and sticky, at bit like sniffing a rum-soaked fruitcake. Flavor is surprisingly unsweet. A lot of roasted malt notes and medium body. Long, toasty finish. Very good.
