Bottle shared at a bar. Poured a murky Amber colour with a slight white head. Nose has a lot of cotrus and chemical sweetness. Some malts, grapefruit, caramel, herbal notice in the end. Not good

Bottled@fonefan. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is toffee, some fruits, mild yeast and spices. Flavour is very much similar. Kind of sweetish spiced, but still mellowly wooden aftertaste. Gusher warning.

33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg.
A total gusher. Aroma has some butter and toffee. Also mild malty tones. Flavour has some menthol-like hops, toffee and butter. Ok stuff but nothing much.

I guess my bottle is from a better batch. No gushing, no wryness, in all a decent saison. No outstanding flavors but subtle and refreshing. Doesn’t need the high percentage I feel. Bottle from Van Erp Groningen.

Reddish brown with a thin, creamy head. Slight sourness, maltiness, and a hint of bitterness. Really nice.

Bottle from het Biermoment, BB 08 2016, large sample. Slight hazy amber color, short creamy slight off-white head. Aroma of slight caramel, green apple, slight spicy yeast. Bit sweet in taste, fruity, slight sharpish alcohol. Slight metallic finish, green apple. Hmm, ok-ish.

(De Naeckte Brouwers Noorderlicht) Bottle 330 ml a t home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 7.5% Deep brown colour on the body turning to a nice light ruby when hold against the light. Big but frothy off-white head, with low retention, leaving a small foam island and light lacing after it has collapsed. Aroma of caramel, malts, some grains, a bit sour. Some grapes notes as well. Taste imitates the aroma, red grapes, malts, caramel, light grains, some yeast too thattogether with the grape/wine notes are the only things reminding of a saison, as for the rest is a typical belgian ale as far as I’m concerned. Medium thin body, high carbonation. Not a bad beer, but not a saison.
