Bottle. Pours a very dark brown beer with a small beige head on top. Aroma of charcoal, peat and roasted malts. The Laphroaig is not really present here, but noticeable. Flavor is sweet, smokey and has some peat in there as well. Light bitter aftertaste, thin bodied. Soft carbo, watery mouthfeel. Not the best barrel aged imperial stout.

shared bottle. poured a deep brown to black colour with no head at all. just some weak bubbles on top. smell of peated whisky. roasted malt, tar ash, smooky aftertaste. some burned caramel, oak. low carbonated. to bad. the regular stoute gijt is a lot better.

Clear almost black beer. Light beige head. Very smooth imperial stout. Mild roasted malts, mild bitterness, soft carbonation, mild whiskey and wood notes. No traces off the Laphroaig peatiness. Pleasant to drink, not spectacular.

330ml bottle [#332 of 480]. Ruby red glowing dark brown colour with small to average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Dark malty aroma with BA notes, leather, oak, a touch of peat. Taste is dry dark malty, hints of oak, leather, some bitter hop. Slightly thin, relatively light body for an Impy Stout.

Bottle 33 cl. Bottle # 198/480. Pours an almost clear, dark orangey brown with a tiny, beige head. Mellow roast aroma with a pleasant whisky edge. Medium body, neato roast, nice whisky aroma and fortunately only a subtle peat character. Some warming alcohol. Hardly any carbonation left. 271213

33cl bottle from Kamiel, #194 of 480. Dark mahogany with a light beige head that fades completely. First impression of the aroma is actually of a slightly watered down Laphraoig which is sorta funny as I never get these things right but it just had the right combination of peat, alcohol/burn and scotch. That being said the barrel characteristics do not overwhelm but the beer is still a little thin on the palate, slightly bitter, alcohol, mild chocolate, woody, mild carbonation, nice dry and whiskey finish,
