Poured a dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of sweet roast malt and coffee. Slightly weak body, flavour of coffee and milk chocolate, dry dark chocolate aftertaste. Bit hoppy for an Impy, but not bad.

Solid imperial stout. Has all the traits, but lacks some depth and complexity. This tastes like a good basis, from which to build on with some extra hopping, strong malt, original fruits or tasty herbs.

Shared 33 cl bottle. Pours jet black with a small head. Aroma and taste is light liquorice, burnt malts and some chocolate. Quite lively on the carbonation. Enjoyable nevertheless.

A dark brown/black colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. The aroma of sweet fruit, a little roasted malt with notes of hop. The taste is dry bitter, dark fruits and a little spices.

I’m crazy about lots of hops. But this in this beer .... Bottle from Mitra @ home. Pours a dark brown which is impossible to see through, with an impressively sturdy, moussy brown head. Aroma is soury, cacao. Taste is some strong cacao with a little too much carbonation, overshadowed by lots of grassy hops. The tastes blend together well, but the mix is not a rich as I hoped for. Alcohol doesn’t prove itself by taste, but it does in warming the throat. The aftertaste has hints of coffee and nutmag, but mostly hops. Nice beer, but a bit off-balance.

Nice and quite thick one with an earthy background. Some coffee, bit dark roasted malt and a small bit of sourness behind it all. Quaffy quality.

Bottled. The aroma has roast, dark chocolate, some coffee. Black coloured beer with a medium, lasting, beige head. The taste is slightly sweet with evolving bitterness to the end. Quite nice. There is mainly roast and chocolate and some coffee and dark fruitiness. Has a bit of a Belgian touch, but quite clean for a Belgian touched beer. Relative dry in the end, medium-full bodied. Nice one.
