3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pitch black pour with an amazing large tan head. Chocolate and dark coffee bitter smell. Lovely roasties. Whoe, very nice bitter coffee and chocolaty taste. U love the hoppyness, didn’t expect that in a stout. Full and thick in the mouth with a little bit too much carbonation for this style. But a very good stout indeed. I will have this one again for sure. The bitter aftertaste is damn amazing.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Zo zwart als piet met een bruine schuimkraag. Heel klein beetje fruitig/zoetig in het begin, daarna bitterheid en gebrande mout. Met een lange afdronk die behoorlijk droog is.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 330 ml, at home. Poured into a snifter. ABV 8.8%
Very dark brown colour on the body, almost totally black. Two fingers of light beige head, with good retention. Thick lacing left on the glass.
Aroma of roasted malts, dark bitter chocolate.
Taste is full of bittersweet chocolate, really great. Coffee and dark roasted malts kick in on the finish, offering a good bitterness on the aftertaste.
Medium body, very dry palate, inviting for one more sip. A bit high on the carbonation, but nothing too annoying.
Overall a great russian stout, deserves more attention.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy off-white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is yeasty with some red berry fruit and roasted malt. The flavour is strong bitter with a malt, yeast, liqourice, alcohol palate. Not the best RIS i’ve had but a whole lot better than their BA version.

Almost black colored beer with thick beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, citrus and floral hops, hints of dark chocolate. Taste, coffee, dark malt, dark chocolate, citrus hops. Very interesting coffee bitter finish with clearly recognizable citrus hops. Very tasty, I want more of this and other beers from De Natte.
