Draught at Biermatinee Oisterwijk 2014. Black with a brown head. Intense aroma of malt, coffee and dark chocolate and some hops as well. Very rich taste and nice in balance with a bitter finish. Just how it should be. Long lasting finish, leaves a nice impression.

Bottle 33cl. Inviting when it pours in the glass. Deep black colour with light brown head that lasts. Lovely aroma. Taste is bitter like a good stout should be. Better than Guinness in Ireland?

Aroma has licorice root and some roasted malty notes. Foamy palate. Flavour is ashy with some licorice root and tobacco. Quite thin and straightforward for an IS.

Bosskie (354) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 3, 2014
Pitch black with a massive creamy light brown-grey head. Smellnis salty liquorice with leather and coffee bitterness and some pure choc. Wholesome and full. Mouth is fizzy and creamy, with a long dry finish. The coffee bitterness is emphasized and the chocolate is fuller. The bitterness is just a bit to dominating and misses some taste development.
