(Bottle 25 cl) More orange than red, small bubbly head. Dry, tart with only a hint of sweetness. No real cherry-aroma. On a hot summer’s day you find nothing more quenching than a dry kriek. 060795
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ungstrup (23961) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 16, 2004
[Vintage 1997 - sampled 2004] A cognac colored beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol and fruit, especially peach. The flavor is dusty sweet with alcohol running over the tongue. In my opinion a little over the top.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2004
Following on from the Belle Vue Kriek in La Fleur en Papier Dore bar in Brussels, De Neve Kriek comes from the same brewery as the Belle Vue, but is reputed to have a higher proportion of lambic in the blend. It certainly finished sharper and drier than the Belle Vue, but was otherwise pretty similar. The cherry fruit still had that medicinal tang. Bottled, September 2003.
