Brown colour, white head. Aroma of malts, caramel, dried fruits and light honey. Some dusty notes. Flavour quite light, sweet malts, light honey, raisins, some caramel. Light malty finish, light chocolate.

Thx. to Tim for sharing this one during the GBF 2012 // 50 cl. swingtop stone ’kruik’ type of bottle sampled // despite the Westmalle name this appears to have nothing to do with that brewery // lighter shade of dark brown with a light mocha head // smells vintage/oxidized, rather mellow nose of dried dark fruits, malts and spices, BE stuff // sweetish concoctions of well aged malts, plenty of nuts, spices, smoothed out, dried fruits, sweet herbal in the back still some hops in here, flourishes of milk chocolate, touch bread // creamy, quite good stuff, easily surpassed my low expectations

18/VIII/2012 50cl swivel top stone bottle @ 3de Gents Bierfestival (Gent) - BB: 12/12 (2012-954) Thanks to Stimi for the bottle!

Clear red brown beer, some big chunks floating around, small beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit oxidized, honey, some caramel, sweet dried fruits, orange peel. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: honey,c aramel, port, dried fruits, raisins, little bitter, chocolate, red fruits, some toast. Aftertaste: chocolate, little bitter, hops, some alcohol, caramel, raisins. Good stuff.
