Bottle. A ruby red, clear beer topped by a pink head of moderate size. Lots of almond and a good dash of cherry on the nose. Fruity sweetness too. The flavor is a nice blend of sweetness and sourness, but the cherry and almond feels a t bit too artificial. Sticky and sourish in the mouth, finishing pretty much like it starts, some bitterness in the very end. A decent one, nothing more. 100618
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 RickKempen (19) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 14, 2009
A very sweet and fruity nose (bubblegum). Clear but intensely red. Pours a fat head... Although the cherries are really in your face, it actually is a very fine cherry beer beating the vast majority of Belgian kriek beers! It doesn’t last long though. Fizzy, medium-bodied and almost sticky it battles into easy, easy finish.
