3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a cloudy golden color with a white head. Really heavy on the apple nose. Some straw, light grass, and a touch of yeast. Sweet bready malt on the nose, too. A nice malt sweetness on the palate. Tons of apple, some citrus peel, and floral notes. Kind of bitter, but not awful.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a bottle shared by Craftmember. Very thick and rocky, densely lacing, egg-white head, clearly hops-enhanced, over a lightly hazy golden blonde beer. Agreeable aroma of dried hay, field flowers, white pepper, grass, white bread, dried citrus peel, honey, peach, apple peel. Dry, crisp fruity taste, green apple, green plums and orange peel freshness, very bready and yeasty middle phase with soft to medium, minerally carbonation, finishes with noble ’Euro’ hoppiness, grassy, very floral, peppery, hayish and leafy, hiding a slight hint of whisky and lingering breadiness. Old school, but I like this a lot, it feels very fresh, honest and a bit rural, just the way I like my Belgian ale.

25cl, best before 06.2015. The beer starts smooth and fresh. Lots of floral but a bit mouldy hops. Smooth, easy to drink, hints of grain. Fresh smooth floral body. Hints of must. Interesting, but the dusty mould is a bit too much (but I think it depends on the hops used...).

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2015 Shared 75cl bottle from Poperingse Bierfestival 10/2014, bb04/2016. But of a milky pour with massive clearing station foam, radiant with unfiltered yeasty proteins and those wet Westhoek grasses. Taste sees a nice delayed triggering of hop layers, moving from inviting green herbal chlorophyl over meadow grasses and to lingering pollen and straw. Gentle fruity sweetness underneath, candied lemon and unripe apricot tartness (wheat used). Added sugar gives this a refined slender drinkability, making it the slightly less ponderous, but equally Belgian-hopped local cousin of Hommelbier. Is that a local Poperinge hop derby brewing on the horizon?
