Bottle. Very dark brown- almost black, average and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty – light oat and sweetish aroma, light roasted malt and (milk)chocolate, faint salty licorice. Body is medium, malty – light oat and sweetish flavor, faint roasted malt (milk)chocolate. Finish is average, malty - light oat and lightly sweetish - sweetish, light roasted malt (milk)chocolate, light salty licorice. Well...It’s sweet (and lacks bitterness). For those with sweet tooth.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes and Martinus @ weekly tasting. Opaque black color, medium sized brown head that lasts for a decent while. Smell malts, sweetness, liquorice. Taste malts, liquorice, sweet and again liquorice. Oily texture, medium body, suitable carbonation. Nice!

At the brewery: Pours near black with a tan head. Arom ais roasted malt, a hint of licorice, chocolate, an plenty of coffee. Taste is a lingering sweetness. Plenty of sugar and lactose are present in this beer. Tastes like a sugared up cup of coffee with milk, which seems to be what it was going for. Not bad.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear dark brown with a big beige head. Aroma of fudge, light chocolate, caramel and sweet malt. Flavour I’d moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Tap at the Jopenkerk. Poured a clear dark brown with a big frothy tan head. The aroma is light roasted malt, caramel, toffee. The flavour is medium bitter, light sweet with a smooth, light fruit, alcohol liqourice bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Media bodied with average carbonation. It’s a fine beer but I expected a little more creamy caramel milky smoothness and less of the alcohol inspired bitterness which is starting to dominate.
