Dickinsonbeer (2550), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA May 5, 2008 On Tap at Arendsnest with Bierkoning. Pours a slight haze and very light color with a good head retention. Aroma is soapy, lemon cleanser and pine-sol. Flavor of dried fresh cracked pale malts with the dust, light sweetness, some off soapiness, and a slick finish- some fruity ale-like esters in there, and overall very un-lager-like.
Borresteijn (588), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 21, 2008 On tap @ de Prael. Hazy amberblond beer, white head. Aroma of yeast, hops and malts. Flavour is yeasty, dusty and bitter, some spice and fruits. gmonroe10 (112), Netherlands Jun 12, 2008 Pours a lightly carbonated caramel with an off white head. Light body. Phenol aroma but taste is just slightly sweet and predominately malty. Smoother aftertaste than ’Johny’, still a dry finish. A nice lentebock. Bov (4659), Bienne, Switzerland Jun 1, 2008 from crackedkettle.com - cloudy red-orange colour, the beige foam disappears very quickly; aroma of oranges with notes of candi sugar; a solid carbonation maintained a good malt body; some initial sweetness, a touch of acidity and a long, very dy and bitter aftertaste of oranges and honey - no analogies with a bock Quinten (711), zaandam, Netherlands Apr 16, 2008 amber/orange colour, medium lasting head, lots of fruits, some peppery spices and hops
