Pours a lightly carbonated caramel with an off white head. Light body. Phenol aroma but taste is just slightly sweet and predominately malty. Smoother aftertaste than ’Johny’, still a dry finish. A nice lentebock.

Countbeer (1944) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAY 5, 2012
Bottle: Medium white head which disappears quick, on top of a hazy orange colored beer. Smell hops, yeast, orange, glue, some cream and oatmeal. Taste hops, medium bitterness, plastic hops, some citrus, yeast, orange, some spices that disappears quick, some malted barleys and a hint of herbs and glue. Herby hoppy grass bitter aftertaste. Low carbo, soft light spicy mouthfeel, medium body and a light creamy texture.

Amber coloration with an off white head. Medium body. A sweet as you would expect from a lente bock. Caramel and brown sugar. Had this on a few occasions in A’dam, but most recently at the brewery following the tour with the Fulbrighters. 2011.

erickok (1074) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - APR 14, 2012
Amber bodied, typical looks. Apple, crisp hops, bit yeasty. Nice bitter base, with light fruity notes in the middle. Dry finish. Very very special and more reminiscent to the Hertog Jan’s and Grolsch’ of this world than a characterful micro brew. Still nice, mostly because of the fine carbonation and pleasant mouthfeel. (33cl bottle)

Had this one at KBC ’11 Den Bosch. Was one of my first beers that day, since my name is André and i just couldn’t wait. The beer was quite okay, though it smelled a bit weird.
