3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 17, 2011
On tap at De Prael Proeflokaal, Amsterdam on 1 April 2011. Slightly hazy amber colour. A proportion of smoked malt adds a bit more interest to this brew, compared to the regular Andre. Smoke is quite noticeable. More on the palate than the nose. More ashtray than bacon but, overall, a pretty solid effort.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 altonbrownd (3581) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 31, 2011
One of the only 50-something bottled versions. Murky amber body with nice head. Nose is of fruits, caramel and malts. Some smoke in there too but very little. Taste is yummy also of fruits and caramel and malts. Smoke a bit more pronounced but still very subtle. Nice bitterness in the finish. Enjoyable.
