3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 beastiefan2k (1921) - Lawrence (formely NYC), USA - NOV 3, 2011
750mL bottle that was gifted by Jan from De Bierkoning. Poured into a De Molen tuliped-cordial glass (white lettering) that I purchased from De Bierkoning. I carried the bottle around in a bag for a few hours, so it was pretty shook-up when I was opening. That may have led to the explosive cork. While I kept it under control, the beer was only start to slightly gush. But past the shaking, the beer was highly carbonated which led to a giant head. The body is black. Aroma is not sweat, a drier aroma, faint ash, and water dark malts. Beer is well attenuated from the non-lactose sugars. The lactose is prominent and the centerpiece. So, its sweet but lactose only. Flavor fades quickly. Its great if you want a milk stout. Love the label.
