Bottle at Huppel the pub. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is herbal, citrus and yeast. Flavour is light sweet and bitter, moderate acidic, but not in a good way. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Not very good.

Bottle cracked on my first night in Amsterdam. Poured gold. Notes of orange peel, spice, grain, and yeast. Very light bodied. Not crazy about this offering. Needed to be cleaner and fruitier. In fact, pretty much every beer I had at De Prael was shit.

Zesty and fruity with some creal and herb flavours, nice carbonation and easy to drink

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of clove and banana with backing sweet wheat. Flavor has sweet wheat and banana throughout with a good amount of clove.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2013 100813 bottle. Bread, candy, skunky, citrus, orange peel, coriander, cardemom, ginger, dough; cloudy yellow to orange, off-white frothy head, lively carbonation; medium sweetness and sourness, medium body, creamy texture, sour finish with hints of sweetness and bitterness, in combination with hints of spices. Seems not that well-balanced to me. 171113 from tap at De Prael. Same impressions as bottle but more in balance, good lacing, taste milder en less sour finish more on the sweetsour side.

Bottle looks very simple, but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty-yeasty, modest fruity like apricot. Finish still mild but not washy. Fine yeasty aftertaste. Quite drinkable. Nice!

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2013. Poured a cloudy yellow with no head. Aroma of yeast, cloves and banana. Good witbier flavours of wheat, orange peal and spice. Turns to bread, grain and citrus in the palate.

Cask at GBBF 2013. Pours a hazy gold/orange colour. Aroma is yeasty, cloves, pepper, bubblegum. Medium to light body, mild carbonation. It’s sweet, spicy, root beer, lemon citrus. Quite dry. OK.

Medium hazyish gold with a thin, soapy, disappearing, white, non lacy head. Smells and tastes of way too much citrus, straw, yeast, grass and grain. Gross. Sort of like rotten veg. Medium frothy, body with soft carbonation. Tastes of coriander, yeast, wheat and cloves, and lots of orange peel. I don’t really like it very much. Sort of rot.
