3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazed, deep red-orange colored body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened caramels with a nice dark fruit note, a few touches of roast, some bread, and a light spiciness. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened, somewhat bready caramels with a light roastiness, some dark fruits, and a light spiciness. Finishes dry and slightly bitter with some roasts and a light sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a smooth, medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a really nice dubbel. Well balanced, easy drinking, and very enjoyable. Good beer.

Bottle, big thanks to my old buddy sky for bringing this back from holland. Browny purple wi a thin off-beige head; aroma of blood and rhubarb; hints of sour cream and baked beans with some stone fruit sweetness and some tinniness in the finish. Plenty of character, especially after a session of lagers
