On tap at In de Wildeman. Clear dark brown colour, off white creamy head. Aroma of sweet malts, chocolate, dark fruits. Flavour is sweet, malty, dark fruits, sweet chocolate and cocoa, light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied considering ABV. A bit too sweet, but nice nevertheless.

On tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam on 1 April 2011. Dark brown colour. Thin off-white head. Raisiny fruit on the palate. Also some pleasant coffee and chocolate notes. Chocolate lingers long into the finish. Full, rounded mouthfeel. Sweetish, but not too sticky. Some warming alcohol. I don’t always enjoy Dubbels that much but this was a solid and satisfying rendition.

Draft at Arends Nest. Cloudy dark brown beer. Small cream coloured head. Slightly sour malt nose. Light semi dry palate. Mildly sour fruit - cherry leading. Coca cola backplane. Tiny drop of cream before the finish. Not bad.

A nice bittersweet beer. A bit chocolate. Very aromatic, very full, hoppy, a bit alcoholic maybe. I found it not too sweet. It tasted a bit like a Dutch "bokbier", but it wasn’t sold as such.

On tap in Wildeman. Dark brown body with malty nose. Taste of sweet, malts and sugar. Watery texture. Sweet tasting. Quite nice.
