bierkoning (8958) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - MAY 10, 2013
Corked bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt, coffee and licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with licorice. Just hints of roast. Alcoholic. Decent but unspectacular and too onedimensional.

PotjeBier (960) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 7, 2013
UPDATED: APR 10, 2013 75 (or rather 70, not completely full) cl bottle hand-labelled (as Russian Imperial Stout - RSI (!)) from De Bierkoning @ home. Clear, deep dark brown color. Huge off white to beige head, long retention. Aroma’s: roasted malts, drop, sweet malts/caramel, some fruity acidity. Flavor is quite reminiscent of drop (salmiak, zwart-wit) at first, sweet, roasted, dark fruits. Medium body. Finishes slightly dry & lightly bitter. Not quite what I expect from a RIS, but a nice experiment anyway.

cork came out like champagne and beer spilled over my table very deep ruby almost completely black, beautiful fluffy beige head that reduces slowly and leaves little lacing. I get some hops aroma and not much else at the beginning but after the foam fades I get some caramel malts and dark fruits, some chocolate and alcohol. nice warm malty taste, some bitterness and coffee in the aftertaste body is medium with fine carbonation. after carbonation reduces body gets velvety. I like this beer when stays for a while. Without the foam and tickling carbonation aroma and body improve dramatically. I like the caramel sweetness and how the palate is wiped clean from this sweetness by the bitter aftertaste. I like that the unpretentious coffee malt. Yes this is a winner!

Clear black brown colour, beige head. Aroma of cherry, chocolate, roasted malts and cacao. Sweetish flavour, chocolate, quite bitter. Finish chocolate, cacao and light coffee.

Countbeer (2853) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - FEB 22, 2013
Bottle @ Kiss The Kitchen Floor or better known as ZZT VI (2013): kindly shared by dEnk: Medium sized beige head on top of a dark brown to black colored beer. Aromas of nettle, manure and some grainy roast. Flavours of manure, roast, toast, malts, barleys, some bitters and some yeast. Aftertaste of bitters, roast and barleys. Full carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, medium body and a light creamy texture. Too much carbo but still a decent beer.

Sampled @ PINT Winterbierfestival Gouda 2013. Opaque pitch black color, full sized beige head. Smell malts, licorice, dark fruits and slightly smokey. Lousy notes from here on. Taste malts, some fruits, roasty and smoke. Decent body and carbonation. [re-rate needed].
