Quite a subtle RIS. Flavours are all there but in moderation. Light roasty malts, hints of vanilla and cocoa. A general bittersweet flavour.

Draught at the brewpub in Amsterdam. Named Black label. Black beer with a decent beige head. Caramel and vanilla aroma, roasted, chocolate, some cocoa, figs, some licorice. Roasted chocolate flavor, solvent, vanilla, some cocoa, bitter hops, salty, some hay and spices. A bit odd.

Sample from 75 cl. bottle. Dark brown colour with a reddish tinge. Lightly tanned, fluffy head. Roasted aroma with rich caramel malts, fruits, coffee, chocolate. An yeasty note. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture. Finishes dry and roasted with caramel malts. Decent.

Bottled. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of brettannomyces, chocolate, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, brettanomyces, malt, leading to a bitter finish.
