Hazy pale blond with thick, bright head. Aroma has fresh hop and a little apple. Body is thin with light carbonation. Clean and easy to drink with a sharp fresh taste and a background of pale malt.

On tap @ the brewery. My first beer ever in Amsterdam! This is a a light blurry one, yellow golden one in color and a nice big lacing and lasting dense white top. Smells fresh, some citrus, thin grapefruit, sour white currents, some soft hoppy nuances also. Soft to average on the small carbonation with a oily mouthfeel. You sense the alcohol immediately. Light acidic, autumn leaf, lot’s of citrus and lemons. Drymouting in the bitter finish. Some wet cardboard in the aftertaste. Not the best kölch I’ve had. 27.09.2012

Bottle at "15" Amsterdam. Poured a slightly cloudy dark amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is weak but malty leading to a medium bitter hoppy malty flavour with a pleasant bitter aftertaste. I've drunk this beer before, but the one I'm rating now is by far the best.

bottle, big thanks to skykob for bringing this back from amsterdam. hazy yellow with a bubble wrap head; quite fruity for a koelsch with hints of tropical fruit in the aroma and synthetic pineapple; light bitterness and not a whole lot else going on

Draught at their own Proeflokaal; listed as Kölsch
Hazy blond color, nice creamy head. Delicate aroma of malt with cereal touch. Good malt flavor; the body is more full than your classic Kölsch, pleasant, providing a more pleasant mouthfeel; the bitterness is quite strong, with a light grassy touch and a hint of noble hops. Indeed more Landbier than Kölsch, but appreciated.

Very nice lager that has more general taste than a normal lager. Nice citrussy and flowery flavour. Wants to make you drink more.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
The head is ok for a Kolsch, the body yellow and a bit cloudy. It smells yeasty, sweet. The taste is bitter, a bit malty, more bitter, in aftertaste, a bit yeasty-dry, bit citrus. Overall medium, De Prael don´t need this... 10/9/9/9/-/9
