3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bierkoning (8107) - La Tropica, - JUN 12, 2008
UPDATED: APR 15, 2011 What a surprise, this bottle De Prael Breedbier from martinboer! Orange blonde, cloudy. Flowery, somewhat citric aroma. Very fruity flavor (citrusfruit, pineapple, melon) with added flowery hops. Nice flavors, OK balance. Just a hint of yeast in the aftertaste.
Tasted in 2002 as De Prael Johnny:
Fresh aroma with yeast and apple. Hoppy, yeasty flavor with apple, citrus and grapes. Some harsh Hallertau hoppiness. The taste is much better as you would expect when you look at the beer.
