Very fine brown ale. Nice balance with the alcohol and the caramel/ hay/ coffee flavor. Goes very fine with a winter dish.

33cl bottle from the brewery. They label this as a barley wine. Pours a cloudy orange-copper colored body with a finger-width, frothy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is smooth, lightly sweetened caramels with hints of toffee bread, a light spicy hop note, hints of dark fruits, and a touch of citrus. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened caramels with a touch of bread and a balanced, somewhat spicy hopping throughout. A few citrus hints and touches of dark fruit before this finishes clean and dry with a medium bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium-full body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a fairly straightforward barley wine, but balanced and flavorful with a clean finish. Pretty good beer.

Zeer troebel koperkleurig bier.

Compared to the Willy I had a few days after I drank this one, I like this one the most. It had quite more taste then the Willy. It’s a nice strong ale which I would order more often.

Bottle. Clear amber, offwhite creamy lace, floaties due to my rough handling. Citruspeel, ginger and marzipan aroma, a hint wood and smoke. Strong and sweet fermented fruit base, dry spices and hops, lemongrass, sugarcane. Fullbodied, dry. Fruit, clay, wood finish. Grows on me after a little while.
