Bottled. Hazy orange colour with mediumsized off-white head, leaves some lace. Aroma is spices, yeast and some fruity hops. Flavour is spices, yeast, some caramel malts and a warming touch of alcohol, which comes through especially when the beer gets warm. This is not a bad thing with this beer though, as the alcohol fits the flavour quite well, when the malty- and yeastyness stays long in the aftertaste.

Bottle from La Cave à Bulles, Paris, 9.7% ABV
Hazy amber color, with creamy head. There is some aroma of vegetables, sweet and fruity yeast too. Good body, with quite sweet flavor, having also fruity tones of Belgian yeast, and very light vegetables traces. Pleasant; despite being defined as Barley Wine on the label, this is a Strong Belgian Ale.

25th June 2008. Beautiful Belgian style ale. Loads of of fruity and herby flavours in a cloudy golden-orange beer. Like Duvel or Inferno but more aromatic. Highly quaffable despite it’s abv.
