3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 3fourths (6400) - Boulder, USA - JUN 6, 2006
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2007 Bottle, age unknown
Consumed at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam, May 2006 Golden orange color with some red hues, and a big white and tan head. Sweet nose, full of candy sugar and rose petals. Toasted sweet corn (like marzen), floral notes in the finish. Not the best example of a tripel, but it seems sweet is how it’s done in Holland. Some fruit cocktail noted in there as well at times.
