3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A slightly different style of IPA. There’s a nice mixture of sweetness (caramel? ice cream?) and fruit (orange?) on the nose. Malty and bitter on the tongue. A nice one.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at De Prael Proeflokaal, Amsterdam Netherlands. Light orange color, hazy, thin white head. Aroma is fruity and hoppy. Taste begins a little sweet, bittering half across the way with some fruits there. Medium body with low carbonation. Not really an IPA, mostly a fruity Pale Ale.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draught at the brewpub in Amsterdam. Hazed yellow straw coloured pour the with a lasting white cap. Aroma is composed of grassy hop, vanilla ice cream and some toffee. Flavour is weird, toffee and maybe some duacetyl, orange and grassy hop. Palate is crisp, semi sweet and high carbonation. A bit too sweet for my taste and not hoppy enough.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Black Door, 20140906) The beer poured amber and mildly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness and citricness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. Not a bad pale ale.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the brewery store. Dark amber, hazy body, with a big, frothy, white head. Sweet aroma of citrus, orange, passion fruit, yeast, caramel, honey. Taste is alao pretty sweet, with orange, sweet fruits, grass, caramel, honey. Mouthfeel is medium, slick, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes medium bitter, fruity and grassy. Too sweet for my liking. Very juicy, almost sticky, from both sweet malts and sweet fruits, with some more grass notes. Overall not bad, but I’ve had much better Dutch IPAs.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Interesting take on the IPA. Light grass and pine hoppiness, but more than balanced out with a toffee, caramel, bread maltiness.
