draft at Arendsnest in Amsterdam - Pours hazy orange with a one finger lingering white head. It has a very herbal malt aroma. The taste is sweet malt with citrus and herbal notes and some mild hpos. It’s medium bodied and has a pleasant, fine carbonation. This beer is tasty and easily quaffed.

On tap @ In De Wildeman. Clear amber golden to color. Rocky white head. Aroma’s: grainish, malt, caramel, hopbitter, hints of fruit. Flavor is medium sweet, caramel, medium bitter. Body is medium. Finishes with nice bitterness. Clean tasting, perhaps not perfectly balanced, but nice & tasty enough.

Bottle at the brewery. Pours a clear amber orange with a near white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a combination of bread and grass with a bit of a straw note. Flavor is mainly grains with a bit of hay and straw with a touch of grass and a bit of citrus.

On tap at Café Gollem, what a surprise to find this beer! Hazy golden orange colour, thick white head. Aroma of sweet malts, hay, some orange, yeast. Flavour is soft and sweet, very malty, fruity, but also rather hoppy and dry, leading to a good bitter refreshing finish. Medium to fullbodied, smooth mouthfeel. Reminded me of a good Kellerbier. I could drink this all night.

Bottle from the Bier Koning, Amsterdam. Poured a hazy medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is rich citrus fruit yeast and a little malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a slightly bubbly watery big malty resin hop palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Thought this was a very nice Dortmunder. Darker than I would’ve expected. Lots of great thick caramel richness.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes dunkeloranges Bier mit schöner beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, leicht fruchtig, hopfig. Geschmack fruchtig malzig, Karamell, hopfig, bitter.

[bottle] Rich malty aroma with no fermentation esters and barely detectable hops. Clear, chestnut appearance under a dense, rocky head (overcarbonated?). Flavour is smooth, amber malt with low to moderate bitterness and very low, herbal, noble hops presence. I don’t think this beer is made with orange peel (as the description claims). Medium body, fairly smooth, high carbonation.

On tap at Arendsnest. Nice copper colour with frothy head. Sweet tasting with orange rhinds very prominent. But also peppery notes. Semi prickly and smooth. Bitter as well. Really refreshing.
