Bov (4623), Bienne, Switzerland Jun 16, 2008 from crackedkettle.com - hazy orange in colour with a poor head; estery with notes of exotic fruits and oily hops; slightly oily with a respectable malt body, sweet with a chewy mouthfeel and a low bitterness; sweetish and fruity finish - pleasant and balanced sayravai (3047), Helsinki, Finland Jun 29, 2007 (Bottled) Hazy golden with a small, lightly lacy head. Honey-yeasty, flowery-lavendery aroma with light spiciness. Some yeast also in the flavor, with lots of fruitiness and some flowery hops in the dryish finish. Medium-bodied, smooth palate. A nice and fresh brew, much cleaner and better than most I’ve had from this brewery before. Hunsell (398), Amsterdam, Netherlands Feb 3, 2005 Updated: Apr 1, 20060.75 L Bottle, sampled at the brewery. Must have been a bad one, no carbonation, no head. Awful taste, somthing sweet, but strongly overwhelmed by skunkiness. I will probably rerate after having a good bottle, because I can’t believe this was meant to be this way.
Rerate: fresh version from tap at the brewery. Cloudy orange coloured beer, steady small head. Aroma is a textbookcopy of Karmeliet: oranges, coriander, a little perfumed. Taste is fruity and fresh, oranges, a bit of coriander. Quite thick mouthfeel. Yep, this is how it is supposed to be, much better. iep (228), Amsterdam, Netherlands Jul 1, 2007 Cloudy golden colored body, with a dense & longlasting head, almost like a hefeweizen. Crisp, tart aroma - somewhat floral, and quite hoppy. Wheaty, dry taste. Quite tart, and sour, with honey, coriander, lemongrass and Noble-hops. Reasonable balance. Thin/medium mouthfeel, ample carbonation. Quite simple but definitely good. skortila (2393), Bunnik, Netherlands Mar 22, 2006 On tap. Aroma is fruity, bit caramel malty and yeasty. Cloudy, yellow coloured with a nice white head. Taste is sweet, quite fruity. Melon is probably a good description. Some yeast, some malt. Bit sticky mouthfeel.
