COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Het zwaarste bier van Brouwerij de Prael is ook weer op Belgisch leest geschoeid. De zoete karamel geur is opvallend aanwezig in deze afsluiting van de dag. Gebrouwen in 2014: 45 hl.

Draft at De Prael. Hazy dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of overripe dark fruit, prunes, caramel, hair spray that my mum used in the 80s, yeast and sweet malt. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Above medium bodied with alcohol warmth in the finish and soft carbonation.

Zoetjes genoeg, met zoethout, caramel, hoestsiroop, de donkere drop van de zak Engelse drop, vanille en meer. Blijft prettig hangen met striemen van bitter. Geen kraag. Aroma veel dezelfde elementen.

33cl bottle at home. Pours a dark ruby colour with a small beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, malts, caramel, dried fruits, herbs. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter with a toasted finish. Notes of roasted malts, caramel, candy sugar, leather, raisin, alcohol. Texture is oily, full bodied with low carbonation.

De Prael, Amsterdam. Purple-brown, soapy ring. Syrupy aroma. Rich full body, nice alc bite and velvety fullness. Leather, grape skin, raisin. Full round, a little less character than I’d like for style, but really quite tasty and accomplished.

Bottle, ABV 11% (from hetbiermoment.nl). Pours dark ruby with beige head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is very sweet, caramel, malt, dark fruits. Flavor is sweet, caramel, dark fruits, alcohol. Finish is burnt bitter, fruits and more alcohol. Overall: ok, but simple and too boozy.

opalescent brown colour, moderate sized beige-ish head;aroma of alcohol, some herbs, caramel and dried fruits; taste is similar with significant bitterness; not that perfect

Flesje. Donkerbruin, kraag verdwijnt tot een randje. Ruikt scherp, alcohol ,rozijnen enzo. Smaakt bitterzoet, vlak, wiebertjes, kruidig. Scherpe, onaangename afdronk. Vrij dun mondgevoel. Echt niet goed.

Dark brown color with a minimal and quickly diminishing light beige head. Aroma has notes of brown sugar, ripe fruit and spices. Flavor is slightly sweet, ripe fruits, some dry fruits and raisins with a high presence of alcohol, perhaps too much... Spicy, creamy and light sweet notes in the final.
