3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Temptation (128) - - NOV 20, 2012Not too good aspect, maybe because of its organic brewing. No head, and it’s like a coke opened two weeks before. The mouthfeel is much better: caramel, liquorice, alcohol and hops reasonably well hidden. Creamy texture and high body, but very short development. Irregular, but not bad at all.

Whoeeey! This thing is strong. Its deceptive as the strong dark fruit flavor masks the alcohol content. One and done.

Dark brown with onstabile foam. Taste is average sweet and lacks some depth. Starts good but taste doesn’t adress itself farther. Aftertaste appears in de front of the mouth.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Duvelfan (86) - Getxo (Basque Country), - MAR 6, 2013
Botella de 33 cl. Color ambar oscuro. Sin apenas espuma. Tanto en nariz como en boca destaca el alcohol, demasiado evidente a lo largo de toda la cerveza. Para mi prescindible

(Draught at De Prael Proeflokaal, Amsterdam, 22 Feb 2013) Dark brown colour, almost black, with foamy beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, dried fruit, raisins and dark bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, dark rye bread, raisins and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Full body, fairly sweet. Well balanced with alcohol deceptively well hidden. Nice one.

I had higher expectations from this one. Although it holds an alcoholpercentage of 11.5%, it isn’t the powerful you would expect. Its taste is a bit too flat in my opinion. OK, but nothing special.

Brown/black quadrupel. No head.... Hmmm. Strong, somewhat alcoholic taste. Almost no aftertaste. An ok-beer but one I will not buy again.

Bottle 33cl, a syrupy dark amber beer with small creamy and off white head. Nose is on barley notes, cereal and alcohol. Aroma is again very grainy, lot of barley sugar, toasted notes, sweet oranges, yeast, bit massive, cherries, grassy bitterness at the finish. Not unpleasant but unbalanced.

Bottle shared with Deanso. The aroma is dry malty leading to a yeasty malty sweet alcoholic beer. Nice to drink but not good enough for a session and at 11+ percent too its not advisable either!

From a 33cl. Pours and almost black brown color with a very thin beige head, that only left a ring around the glass after a minute of pouring. Aroma of caramelized malts, dry fruits, plums, and brown candy sugar, light hops. Flavors, as the aroma caramelized malts, dry fruits, plums, and brown candy sugar, light hops, and some spices. Quite sweet and thick, light hop bitterness. Not so complex and heavy, but rather rough. long lasting sirup taste in mouth. Interesting but nothing great.
