Pours hazy brown with a giant, frothy, beige head. Aroma is lightly tart, lots of dried fruits, caramel, yeast and raspberries. Light carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is very sweet, lots of Belgian sugars, yeast, raspberries and alcohol. Just generally far too sweet. NoiZe (1289), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Jan 15, 2009 Tap @ ’t Arendsnest. Brown colored brew. Fruity aroma. Flavor is creamy, sweet, spicy, fruity, cherries, strwberries. Borresteijn (1349), Amstelveen, Netherlands Jan 10, 2009 On tap at ’t Arendsnest. Unclear dark brown beer, off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, yeast and some ash. Flavour is very sweet, too sweet actually, sugary and very malty, some chocolate. A bit thin. Because of the unbalanced sweetness not very good. Bov (5403), Bienne, Switzerland Aug 8, 2008 from crackedkettle.com - pours a cloudy red-brown colour with a firm creamy beige head leaving a nice lace; dusty nose with notes of berries; juicy palate, medium-bodied, quite sweet with no bitterness; more notes of red fruits and some yeast in a quite long finish
