Flat stout that is a little too sweet for my taste. Could use some more depth and spices.

Bottle 33 cl, maybe my bottle is a bit old, there is some mud-like dirt inside the cap and to the glass on in inside of the botlle. The beer pours black with a beige head and an aroma of roasted malts, milk chocolate, coffe with milk and sugar and toffee. The taste is sweet, a bit watery, with some slight hoppiness in the finish. Nothing special.

On tap at de Prael. Black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malts an lactose. Taste is sweet with a sharp sour overtone. Not sure if this is intenser. Roasted malts, lactose, some chocolate and coffee. Bit thin and not do good due to sournish.

Pitch black with a nice foamy head and bubbles. Coffee smell with sourwood and charcoal like in a bbq. Subtle fruitiness with a citric bitter sourness. Fizzy sour watery with subtle touches of sweetness. The fizziness is delicious and has a subtle burnt smokey feel to it. Oily creamy finish.

Extremely good beer from a brewery that I did not know before. The taste of chocolate and caramel are the main. Drank at Arendsnest, Amsterdam.

330ml bottle (Birofilia2014, Zywiec)
Dark, black, small head. Clear pour, unexpected as this was the bottom of the bottle. Nice roast aroma. Ditto taste. Pleasant burntness, some ashtray hints. Stale rather than ashy. Some milkiness, but very low. Pleasant stout, but unexciting.

On tap at t’Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Black with tan head. The beer has a dry bitterness but quite grainy in character even a touch on the sourish side. Lasting on the palate, dry roasted nuts, tarry. Not quite there for me.
