VitaminR (422), Colorado, USA Dec 30, 2008 Aroma was a combination of Molasses Figs rolled in dirt soaked in kombucha. Color was cloudy amber, larger head with nice lacing. Flavor was sweet and malty followed by a nice funky burn. Full bodied, big carbonation, finishes with a nice complex tart, sour, lemon, and spice, then a slow alcohol burn once the dust settles. This was an extremely enjoyable beer, the funkiness of the wild yeast balances the spices and sweetness quite nicely.. mrhoppy (209), Santa Clara, California, USA Dec 20, 2008 Bitter sour lemon alcohol not sweet at all. Funky and interesting. Nice cloudy yellow golden color with white lace. Not bad it grows on you toward the end. ericandersnavy (1039), crossroads, Texas, USA Dec 18, 2008 bottle thanks to swalden28. poured a cloudy yellow with a white head. aroma was funky. i think i picked up some banana, but not real sure. flavor was funky as well added with some banana and some citrus. i have not developed a taste for anything with farmhouse flavor , yet. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Dec 18, 2008 Tap at Flying Saucer, Houston. Pours a thick lemon orange with a nice head and an aroma of zesty Sprite and lemon peel soda. Flavor is buttery lemon Glade soda. Thick and lively mouthfeel. Awesome beer. GodOfThunder (855), Orlando, Florida, USA Dec 18, 2008 Bottle of Reinaert Flemish Wild Ale from Redlight Redlight in Orlando. Pours a cloudy golden color with a ton of yeast chunks. Smell is musky and full of brett. Taste is earthy, dirty and not nearly as brett-filled as the smell would indicate. I also detect a little lemon. Finish is slightly bitter. Good stuff. Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Dec 16, 2008 Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a cloudy yellow with white fizzy head. Great sweet-tart aroma of wild yeast, fruity. Flavor of citris, farmhouse, hops, some dark fruit....Has light-medium body with fizzy, high carbonation....Not bad at all... CelticBrew (676), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Dec 14, 2008 Rat Rider- Poured from 750 ml hazy, somewhat murky golden straw color, formed huge white head of foam, dissipated quickly. Aroma pungent of barnyard funky goodness, candied apples and spices with a hint of clove-ish yeast. Flavour was of yeasty funk, old spiderwebs from a 200 year old barn and malted hops. Sourness comes across with citrus tones, bitterness balances it out well. I would love to try on tap version. Lovely beer from our friends in Belgium! Travlr (700), Washington, Washington DC, USA Dec 10, 2008 A slightly spicier version of Reinaert Triple, as if spice were added to the brew.
