Spoon whacker version. This tasted and smelled like jelly belly buttered popcorn and as such it was pretty nasty. shp555 (1677), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Mar 22, 2008 Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a white head. Aroma is honey, cherry, and some funk. Flavor is honey, cherry, grain, and a funky tart finish. hellbilly (1492), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Mar 22, 2008 reinaert flemish wild... pours a cloudy brown color topped with a wispy white head which leaves decent lacing and great retention. musty aroma with hints of orange, dried herbs, caramel, a little tartness and some alcohol burn. the palate is a bit on the sweet side and i picked up notes of wood (bark not barrel), caramel maltiness, raisins, grass/herbaceous, alcohol and a slight saltiness. it finishes dry. medium body is quite creamy gator2683 (133), Anchorage, Alaska, USA Mar 4, 2008 reinaert flemish wild ale...I really liked this one, moderately funky, with a nice dry citrus/apple flavor and a surprising dry hop finish clingman71 (239), Centerville, Ohio, USA Mar 3, 2008 Hazy, cloudy yellow. Great tart aroma. Flavor mixture of tart sourness, spice, and citrus. Very refreshing and enjoyable. gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 29, 2008 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Bottle poured at Oldsmar Tap House. Pours a golden caramel color, with lots of foamy, creamy white soapy head. Ridiculous lacing. Big brett in the nose, sour cider, mild funkitude. Slight tart flavor, warm cider, sweat, citrus, and some slight caramel and chocolate. Soft and creamy body, smooth finish. Alcohol is undetected. Real good. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Feb 24, 2008 Bottle of Reinaert Flemish Wild Ale. Mostly clear light golden color, thin even layer of white head. Mildly herbal, sweet, and funky on the aroma. Lightly Bretty taste, some spices, light funk, not really tart. A nice light drinking Belgian with the funk accent. Doesn’t blow you away, but very pleasant. TomDecapolis (3128), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 19, 2008 750ml bottle...not 100% sure which one. I know it is not one shown in the photos on Rate Beer. It has a Monk praying, some fish and demon/rat/bat looking things with a green background. Pours a hazy golden/orange with a medium bubbly lightly lacing white head. Aroma was floral, brett, mixed citrus, sweet tarts...very nice aroma. Flavor was grassy, citrus, some tropical fruits, lightly tart, touch of hop bitterness and flavor, wheat and bready. Alcohol very well hidden. Comes across a little thin.
