Pours a very pale yellow with a fluffy two finger head that settles gently to a thick head. The remaining foam leaves a thin webbing of lace behind.
Smell; very wild nose here, with some barnyard funk, hay and dry yeastiness. There’s some mild undertones of some light fruits, and some sweet malts.
Taste; that barnyard funk comes across in the flavor with mild horse blanket and old hay. But there’s also a little bit of vinegar in there, with a bit of a lactic quality as well. The fruits are light, but they offset the funk just wonderfully, and peppery spiciness in the finish.
Mouthfeel is a touch thinner than I would have liked, and to be honest this beer is a bit on the dry side. That probably only helps make this feel a bit thin. The drinkability is just great though.
Edit: once this gets close to room temp the fruits come out a little more which adds a little more sweetness to this, and the mouthfeel seems to be a touch more full. believeUme (17), California, USA

Flavor is honey and over-rippended apricots and gamey. Too sweet with a apple cider cloyingness. Works as a desert beverage. bikesandbeers (468), Los Angeles, California, USA

I was taken aback by the aroma, and had to hand it off the a friend to make sure i hadn’t stepped in something. The aroma was that of a freshly fertilized garden. Put another way. It smelled like manure and flowers. The flavor wasn’t too shitty, but still a bit strange. very earth and tart with some spiceness too. I gald I had the experince, but I don’t think I’d have it again, except to mess with someone. tytoanderso (1386), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA

Corn... grilled corn on the cob. Very sweet nose with a hint of sourness. Pours Gold with a creamy white head. Champagne like effervescense. Decent lacing. Quite dry on the palate despite the sweet nose. Yeast both sour and dry. Just a hint of honey sweetness. Decent carbonation with a fairly rich mouthfeel. SledgeJr (2960), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 18, 2007 Nice and different Belgian Strong ale. Not the usual over carbonated yeasty fruity stuff (not that it’s bad...but change is good). Aroma of hops, diaper bags and sugar. Pour was a dark orange with a nie 3 finger white head that laced most of the glass. Taste was medium carbonated, tart in the back of your throat and spicy. Nice and dry in the finish with a ever so slight alcohol burn in the back.
