Bottle at Mes’s with Loz, and Ang, thanks Mes for hosting this hastily arranged tasting 20-06-08 Pours light golden with fluffy white hedad. Some sour fruit tingle your nostrils, plus there ois also a slight mustiness and a tinge of the farmyard about this oh and some yeast and spices thrown into the mix. Tasty beer slightly sour, some spicy sweetness but also with a sour edge. Its really quite interesting and tastes like a combination of different beer styles.

(750ml bottle) Sampled at TiggMTL’s Montreal Crew YEHa!05 Christmas Party on December 17, 2005. Pours a thick, foamy head with a golden orange body. Nice carbonation. White wine, yeasty yet dry and farmy. A very enjoyable Belgian...

Hazy orange color with a white head, leaves behind a ring of Brussels lace as you drink it. Spicy, sour aroma lets you know its got that Belgian thing goin on. Fruity slightly sour flavor, with a mildly sour aftertaste. Good mouthfeel. This is an excellent summer thirst quencher.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, biegaman & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Labelled Reinaert Flemish Wild Ale. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a small diminishing white head. Awesome aroma is sweet and sour with fruit, spices, malt and yeast. Flavour of sweet malt and spices with a tart and alcoholic bitter finish -- alcohol’s more prominent then I’d like. Medium bodied. Pretty good but could’ve been great if the flavour lived up to the aroma.

750 mL bottle. Pours cloudy yellow-orange with a large, frothy, white head, lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (meal, straw), average hops (flowers, perfume), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth) with notes of apricot, pear, plastic, and band aids. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

750ml bottle...not 100% sure which one. I know it is not one shown in the photos on Rate Beer. It has a Monk praying, some fish and demon/rat/bat looking things with a green background. Pours a hazy golden/orange with a medium bubbly lightly lacing white head. Aroma was floral, brett, mixed citrus, sweet tarts...very nice aroma. Flavor was grassy, citrus, some tropical fruits, lightly tart, touch of hop bitterness and flavor, wheat and bready. Alcohol very well hidden. Comes across a little thin.

Cloudy orange with a thick white head. Aromas of tart apple, funky brett and sour lemon. Taste is spicy and tart and grassy with lime, hay and candi sugars. Very interesting how all of the flavors meld.

I just don’t get this stuff . Tasted like a few beers thrown together. Nice white head and aromas of sweet and both sour fruits. Tasted a bit earthy, like dirt, sour pears, oranges, grapes and cherries. Like a sour fruit cocktail. There is a bit of malt so it’s not all sour.

Bottle. Large off-white head that was mostly lasting, excellent lacing, fine-small sized bubbles, carbonated, slightly hazy, and a butterscotch hue. Malty, spicy and some clove notes in the aroma. Sweet, malty, spicy and vinuous tasting. Fairly smooth and also slightly tingly palate. Medium body. Quite enjoyable and quaffable IMO.
