apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA Jul 10, 2006 At the final Heavyweight Open House. This is a very light, refreshing, citrus beer. It has a very foamy head with a strong lemon flavor/aroma. It is only slightly spicy, and good for the warmer weather. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA Jul 5, 2006 750ml. bottle thanks to Dorwart. Hazy straw color with a large rocky white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Musty, fruity aroma with some lemon and black pepper. Flavor was yeasty with some citrus, a bit of hops and a mildly spicy finish. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jun 28, 2006 750 mL caged and corked bottle. Pours cloudy straw and hay yellow with a tall rocky and foamy white head, sticky lacing, lasting head. Aroma is fruity (grape, pear, apple), light wood notes, malt (hay, straw, cereal) and yeast (cobwebs, dough, earth). Moderately bitter and acidic, drying palate, some alcohol notes, wood and fruit. Light to medium bodied, fizzy and dry palate. MrEcted1 (144), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA Jun 27, 2006 A nice suprise from a tiny liquor store by my work. I was working and had a rough day so I decided to go to this little liquor store. They didn’t have much, but after close inspection, near the wine I found this. Pours a hazy gold color with a decent lasting head. Nice complex belgian musky scent with light fruits. Flavor is great! has that musky belgian flavor, finishes with light fruits such as bananas Also has lemon present. Nice and yeasty! Boy am i glad I found this across the street from my work (there isn’t much in this area). I know what i’m picking up the next time i have a hankering for a brew whilst working! bgoguen (53), Colorado, USA Jun 8, 2006 Better than Angelique in my opinion. Nice, complex flavors and great aromas. A good Belgian triple. Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Jun 3, 2006 A pretty, hazy pale yellow with a nice pillow head. Picture perfect appearance. Aroma had hay, some spicy hops, and yeast. Flavors matched, with additional notes of wood. The alcohol, hidden while cool, was evident and annoying in the end. Not bad overall though. Very much an attempt at a Duvel clone. I initially put this in as Angelique, like an idiot. Caught it months later. fakepurseninja (773), Washington, USA Apr 4, 2006 Updated: Aug 4, 2006Hazy golden color - pours to about 90% head into the glass, had to scoop out head with an ice cream spade to keep pouring (long lasting head) - Very sweet and malty - nice finish, great beer - will buy again GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA Apr 3, 2006 Updated: Jan 31, 2008Pour tawny yellow with a huge fuming froth. Good head retention leaving snail tracks on it’s slow descent to nectars edge. Strong banana gum aromas spill into the air. Medium full nectar good carbonation. Vanilla, tropicals, banana, and mildly spiced. The finish is long with a peachpit bittering component. A decent Tripel.
