De Proef Lunatique (Cuvee Diabolique)

Bottle from Party Town. Poured hazy amber color with a huge fizzy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate sweet fruity aroma. Light to medium body with a sticky texture. Medium fruity crisp flavor with a medium balanced finish of moderate duration with a small alcohol bite. This is a good beer.

Poured .5 cm of white head. Loose, yet frothy lacing and cloudy golden color. Very fragrant nose that includes light citrus, wheat, and rose. Tastes of wheat, slight alcohol, hints of vanilla and grapey white wine with metallic notes in the finish. Medium carbonation and medium body. I enjoyed it.

Pours a syrupy golden blond color. A malty honey tinge on the nose with hints of floral bouquets. The sugary honey quality of the beer is powerful and makes the beer a little wet on the palate. Finishes with spicy floral notes. Thinner than other triples.

Fully fruity, rich in its maltiness and extreme flavor. The head pour a solid opaque color that just sits. The beer golden color looks fantastic. One for the records

My Bottom Line:
Omnipresent bready yeast cooks up a few plantanes in this nourishing and well-carbonated Tripel. Simple and straightforward, it might quench your hankering for the style.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-Foam recedes quickly into the hazy golden which arbors a striking aurora yeastialis.
-Alcohol heats up the back end, but doesn’t bother the flavor profile.
-Yeast is the most expressive flavor in here, as its esters and its basic bread/dough character take a lot of room.
-Body is healthily filling, while not feeling polished.
-Some citrusy background fails to balance the finish.

.5L Bottle. Found in phoenix. Pale and hazy golden straw color with large billowy head. A sweet aroma reminiscent of honey and bubblegum. Adequately strong, malty and wheaty with a distinct hop character and crispness. Some citrus flavor present. Very sweet.

Pours a hazy golden color with a huge white fluffy head. Aroma is light, yeasty. Taste of honey, spice, yeast, medium body.Seems a little watery.

330 ml. bottle pours a hazy gold with a mediu/large foamy white head and good lace. Yeast, light fruit, and honey waft up from the glass, and there is even a bit of a floral character. Lively carbonation punctuates a light/medium body and a clean mouthfeel. Flavors of honey up front, followed by some sourness which lends a little crispness, with enough hops coming in to prevent the slightly sweet finish from being cloying.
