portion of a 750ml bottle served in a Belgian snifter.
Pours the color of honey; hazy.
Aroma: spot on given the "Tropical Tripel": there’s a substantial note of coconut, pineapple, citrus and other tropical fruits plus a Belgian tripel in the background.
Flavor: the base ale makes a stronger appearance in tasting where it is nicely balanced by the fruits and a hint of coconut. Appropriately sweet but eventually leaves a mildly bitter aftertaste.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle - Tropical fruit and coconut, like an odd piña colada. Clear copper with a bubbly head. Peach, coconut, grass and a bitter sweet finish. This is just not a combination of flavors I like.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. Clear yellow amber pour, with a white head. Very sweet, candy sugar, yeast, coconut, and fruity. Not a beer that I enjoy very much. Someone with a sweet tooth would probably like it.

Another rare brew cracked open by my cousin - thanks! This had a tangy aroma, and a sweet & sour flavor. I also tasted lemon, a yeasty bite, and muffin. Things went awry a little with the presence of lager-like hops. Pretty good.

At a Cigar City collaboration beer event at Congregation Ale House. Big Mango taste here. Then a wallop of coconut. But mostly wicked sweet. Tilted to tropical and less Tripel.

Tap. 12 oz tulip at bulldog NE. Two finger head and orange color. Fruity smell and tropical. Creamy waxy body and taste probably from coconut. Complex finish. Alcohol sting is there but subtle. Made me feel the tropical sun...kinda.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a honey gold with a finger and a half of off-white head. Aromas of tropical fruits, light coconut, dankness, stone fruit, yeast, light funk. Tasting notes of tropical fruit, stone fruit, light tart, yeast, a little booze on the finish. Not much coconut in the taste, perhaps it lends to the sweetness. Pretty solid collaboration between De Proef and Cigar City.

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured into a chalice. Pours a hazy copper color with a white head of bubbly foam. The aroma is mostly bubblegum notes, but there are hints at leach and coconut if you try real hard to pick them up. The taste is sweet and estery with a bit of funk coming through especially toward the finish. Tropical fruits are strong here and the coconut in particular comes through.
