Bottle shared by Travlr: pours clear deep bronze with a thin spotty-lacing whitehead. Has a lightly sweet toasted caramel nose with some floral honey and a touch of clove. Starts with good fullness and sweet rich toasted caramel and biscuity malts along with some yeasty esters before a complex warming finish. Pretty flavorful, but could use some time to age.

Taste this beer @ Leen’s place on 10.06.’14. (bottles from Deconinck) Almost clear darkgolden/copper color, with a small white head. Aroma: bit sweet, caramel, honey note, floral. Full body. Taste: sweet, caramel, malts, alcohol warming, little bitter.

Bottle, bought @ De Hopduvel, Gent. Pours light hazy coppery red with a small, staying, creamy white head. Aroma has raisins, lots of toasted caramel, light oxidation. Low carbonation, fat and oily mouthfeel. Flavour is vinious, sweet, raisins, plums. Warming. Okay.

33 ml bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a thin fuzzy off-white head. bready malt aroma’s immediately interweaved by a sharp pure alcohol scent... Medium body, imminent alcohol heat and unpleasant throat burn... Taste is quite sherry alike but with an all-prevailing alcohol sting... auw auw auw... Plus, one should examine the similarities with Mikkeller’s Big Worster - don’t taste any difference at all.

hazy gold, smallest clear bubble ring that dies. Sweet pear nose, hot and pukey. Hot, woody booze flavor, dry cardboard, bit of odd champagne bitterness in finish. Sticky, hot.

375mL thanks to Travlr. Pours a clear orange with minimal white foam. Nose is sticky candies, old maple, thick sweetened orange, some calvados like brandy fumes. Taste is very sticky sweet, mild alcohol heat, some maple liquor. Drinkable, I would guess 8%. 16% !!!?? Why?

Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussel. Pours a hazy deep sunset orange-red body with a medium, rapid-fading head. Nose is intense sugary peaches and apricot tones with mellow alcohol, wood, red currants, wet grass and hints of caramel and faint solvent in the back. Taste is dense syrupy caramel and licorice, peaches, wet grass, alcohol and hints of red berries and almonds. Dry, yeast-ish finish which I often find Champagne yeast to produce. Full body, sparkling carbonation. A bit alcoholic, which is perhaps natural with such a whopping ABV, but still a tad too much booze for me. Otherwise, it comes across as a sort of mix between a desert wine, Champagne and strong Belgian beer. Interesting, and quite nice in its own "extreme" way.
