3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
750mL bottle at HOTD. Pours a lightly hazy, deep golden-orange color; fine-bubbled light-tan head with excellent retention and lacing. A cidery tartness and acetic character in the nose: apples, somewhat lactic? Medium body; lively CO2; plenty of balsamic vinegar here, with a cidery tartness, overripe red fruits, and a comparatively darn-good Flanders red profile overall that refrains from being overly sweet. Acetic ending, with a bit of lasting red fruit.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at butcher and the boar. Yeasty in the nose with promises of sour. Hazy amber with off white head and beautiful lace. Very complex for a sour. Plenty of funk and some vinousness. Not my favorite style but outstanding.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Large white head with nice lacing. Big green apple nose. Palate is numerous fruit. Nice burn to finish. Unlike some lambric fruit bombs.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft at the Butcher and the Boar. Pours a light amber color with a big white head and nice lacing. Aroma is fruity, cherry, wheat, a little piney hops. Medium to heavy on the palate with soft, smooth carbonation. Flavor is sweet and sour, bread, nutty, some bitter hops, some sour cherry funk, a little oak, with a tart, fruity finish. Super excited that I finally got to try this. Very tasty.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours burnt orange with an off white head. The aroma is layered; musty Apple, apricot, pear, spice, tropicana galore. The mouth feel is what gets me even more. Highly palatable, slightly tart, the most delicious sour. Flavors of watermelon sugary apple with a perfect amount of acidity to cut through. This beer is perfection.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Pracna, pours a hazy orange/copper with a large off-white head. Aroma is musky and tart, with stretched caramel, oranges, tangerines, and sweet bread yeast. Taste starts with a hint of tartness, into lambic flavors with a mellow sweetness of oranges, tangerines, apricot and cherries, with some slight caramel malt. Yum just yum, tasty and drinkable.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml from the Rare Beer Club. Though not all of the DeProef collabs have been as stellar as the initial one, it was hard to see how this one could go wrong. And indeed, it turned out frickin great. First surprise was on the pour, which was more orange-gold than the brownish-red I expect when seeing the word Flanders. Brimming with carbonation, it’s attractive. Nose was soft and oaky, with vinous qualities as well as zesty dry citrus and funk. Perky mouthfeel and a super-dry finish, you can definitely get a sense of the lambic use to blende with the oaky stronge blonde. Very nice combo indeed.
Flanders Fred – more tart and blonde than expected, very nice though

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to JPDurden24 for sharing this. It pours sort of hazy deep gold with a full tan head of foam. The aroma is loaded with apples and then it seems to flow into cherry skin sour notes. The taste has a modest sour fruit sensation that then bleeds into a cherry skin like tartness and a mild apple and pear sweet esteriness. It ends dry and fairly refreshing.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tap @ Burgundian Nov ’12. Cloudy gold pour with a short, fine-bubbled white head leaving heavy lace. Nose is tart apple cider and ripe fruit. Medium body, light, fine carbonation. Pears, green apples, ripe bananas, lemon and plum - but never overly sweet. It’s complex and fruity, yet dry. Finish is short, tart and dry, and it leaves you wanting more.

Draft at VSK night at Blint Tiger back on 11/28/2013 with James, Streets, some others. Appears amber from the side and yellow from the top. Sweet and fruity flavor with notes of runny berries. Not too tart our sour. Good, interesting beer.
