22 oz. bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks Dany), pours a cloudy murky dark amber with almost no heasd. Aroma of worcestershire sauce, brett and very sour red fruits. Flavour is very smoky and sour, with smoky worcestershire sauce, a little brett, and nastily tart dark fruits. Something is dreadfully wrong with this bottlle, with nasty smoky sour notes. Undrinkable in every way. Gross.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass; best before 4/21/2012 date on the cork. No pop upon releasing the cork, flat beer. Pours a very hazy reddish orange color with no head. A minimal lace cap does eventually show up that lingers; with minimal glass lacing. Aromas of caramel, pear, apple, grape, wood, leather, clove, cardboard, toast, and yeast earthiness. Unimpressive aromas with decent balance and complexity; moderate oxidation makes this a bit unpleasant. Taste of caramel, pear, apple, grape, golden raisin, toast, brown sugar, leather, light wood, cardboard, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of caramel, light fruits, toast, leather, brown sugar, cardboard, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Decent flavor balance and complexity; with moderate oxidation flavors and minimal cloying flavors after the finish. Nearly zero carbonation and medium bodied; with a slick and creamy mouthfeel that is decent. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a poor Belgian golden ale due to the oxidation and lack of carbonation. Decent complexity and balance of flavors; but the oxidation makes it unpleasant. I had to drain pour this one, not enjoyable.

The beer pours a hazy brown color with a few white bubbles. The aroma has a lot of brett and funk, with some orange and dark fruit (mainly plums and currants) thrown in. I also get some leather. The flavor is similar. The leathery notes really stand out, as does some dark fruit, light funk, toffee and caramel. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. While all of the above might some good, something about this beer just didn’t do it for me. Overall, it just didn’t taste too good. Maybe it is the age, as this beer was drank in August 2012.

Bottle. Very interesting and complex brew. Lots of Bret and wild funk. Yet they managed to balance it out.

750 ml bottle to oversized snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; an opaque burnt-orange with sticky off-white head. Smells solid; spicy, citrus, yeasty, and a little funky. Tastes the same with a nice mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

750 ml bottle via local trade- thanks, Adam! Pours a murky dark gold color with head that gushed upon opening but settles small in the glass. Aroma is nice and funky, with apricot, grapes, sweet malts, sugar, caramel, cereal, and brett. The flavor hits most of the same notes but without the same pop. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a funky mouthfeel. Very mild tartness. Good beer.

750mL bottle. Poured medium golden with a short off-white head. The aroma picked up bready notes, dank, fruity Brett, light banana, white pepper, and cherry vinegar.. somehow all of that blended well together, and had a lovely soft overall impression.. didn’t smell like it was going to be super sour. The flavor found mostly dried, mixed fruits at the core, with a slight edge toward the skins.. floral notes, white spices, and more tart skins on the edges.. finished with tart, mildly funky fruits and oak. Medium-bodied with moderate-plus carbonation on the palate.. soft and perfectly balanced.. this was a really fine brew!

Bottle given as a gift from Matt at Capones. Cloudy pale orange with off white head. Orange and lemon zest, overripe fruit, wheat, not much brett. Moderate carbonation and body, apples and a bit sweet with some mild funk, becomes dry, more fruit on the ending along with more grains.

This ends up with a low rating from me because it is described as a golden on the bottle and simply isn't. Pours dark orange, hazy. No head and flat (old bottle). Yeasty apple aroma. Mes bodied and tastes of apples and lemons. Nothing golden here ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
