3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft pour on tap at Bavarian Lodge (Lisle, IL). An exciting find. Pours a rich dulled golden amber hue, some deeper orange glow and a frothy whitish head sits atop, bigger with solid lacing. Aromas are a plethora of funky brett, lemons, and touches of berries, faint cranberry, straw, and bready malts. Gentle funk and gentle spiciness picks up, currants and gentle kisses of cobwebs and barnyard. Gets a bit more life as it warms, picking up more sour fruits. Initial is mellow and medium bodied, touches of berries and lemons mix gently up front. Gentle bretty funk, dust, and cobwebs mingle with bready malts, touches of spice, gentle yeast, and fruity qualities. Touches of apple, pear, and some more gentle sourness. Subtle sourness as brett takes the lead with the bready malts, gentle spice. Middle and finish dry up more, bretty funk and gentle fruits. Brett starts to dry firmly and really integrates well with the fruit, both tart berries and apple/pear sweetness, gentle sourness makes itís appearance up front but definitely tapers out in the finish. Firm, funky, and pretty nice. Not as sour as Iíd hoped, but the wild yeast works well enough here. Interesting, dry finish. Looks gorgeous overall. Flavors come in and out for me. A firm hopping provides synergy for the dry bretty finish. Not bad.

Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
Looks great, but sports the usual dirty Proef nose.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very clean and backseat malt and hops. Very smooth with a nice sourness ending with a small kick of tartness. Correct carb, 90% clear, aroma is a bit absent but what is there is quite nice. A nice presence of mild wildness before the clean sour.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Location: Draft at RnH, 8/8/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly subtle, some yeast, apple, and honey notes
Appearance: It pours a cloudy golden color with a lacey white head
Flavor: The taste is sort of sweet, slightly tart, and with a mild sourness to it
Palate: This on has a light-medium body to it with a decent mouthfeel
Overall, I thought this was a solid beer, but it didnít really have a ton of sourness to it, I was expecting more. It wasnít bad though.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at RnH w/ Andy James Streets. Opaque amber pour with minimal white head, zero lacing on glass. Smells of sea salt??? Reminds me of the ocean. Subdued, not a huge fruit/acid aroma, which made me excited b/c I thought the taste would be surprisingly sour/aggressive, but it was not. A little funky but lacking in tartness. Enjoyable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Rattle n Hum with Linh, Thi and Vi. Reading the description of this beer shed some light on the flavor - as this brew tasted closer to a golden ale than a sour. Pours a hazy cloudy orange. Aroma is slight tart, wheat, somewhat bland. Mouthfeel is lightly acidic and tart.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft. Amber with an off white head. On the bland side for a sour ale. Some honey sweetness and light funk, along with toast and lighter fruity notes on a pale malty base. Not bad.
