pours a murky but clear dark straw, no head, not the best looking thing... sweet nose with flowers and yeast, no brett... the taste is also very sweet, a sweet pale with some yeast, again not much brett, very drinkable but too sweet for me

Bottle... Poured hazy, golden/burnt orange with a thin head that dissipated quickly. Nose was super funky with a lot of brett and wet socks aromas. Nice body, dry and well carbonated. Lots of acidity and tartness with apple-like, light fruits, tropical fruits, and malt sweetness.

Hazy amber orange capped by silky white head. Nose and mouth full of funk and horse hairs. Alchohol kick adds to the fun.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2012 Bottle. Have seen this on the shelves many times and wanted to try it, so I finally did it. Pours hazy amber with a white soapy head that fades to a soapy film and shows some lacing. Aroma has a nice lemon leather and grassy like scents along with some musty sugars/funk. Taste is bitter and slightly funky maybe a little sour, but more farmhouse and funkiness leather and grassy hay like flavors. Palate is medium with a strange stickiness and drying finish. Definitely a good drinker, but don’t go into this
one thinking your about to drink a real sour brew. This one is a true wild ale!
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ads135 (514) - Lawrence, USA - APR 21, 2012
The aroma would have me believe that this is the funkiest beer in the world, but the taste proves otherwise as the Brett tang is downplayed and subordinated to a lemony sweetness and a healthy, bready body. Funk throughout, but subtle.

750ml bottle. Hazy amber orange. Aroma of spicy yeast, light brett and rich malt. The flavor is a lot less sour than the aroma would indicate, lots of maltiness with some light hop bitterness and tartness in the finish. Medium body with average carbonation and a dry mouth feel. Pretty good beer, drinks very easy and hides the abv well

Poured from draft at back country in Boulder, CO. This beer was amazing! Fruity pear and pineapple with an earthy herbal hop finish.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheAlum (3299) - Lisle, Illinois, USA - FEB 24, 2012
Draft pour on tap at Bavarian Lodge (Lisle, IL). An exciting find. Pours a rich dulled golden amber hue, some deeper orange glow and a frothy whitish head sits atop, bigger with solid lacing. Aromas are a plethora of funky brett, lemons, and touches of berries, faint cranberry, straw, and bready malts. Gentle funk and gentle spiciness picks up, currants and gentle kisses of cobwebs and barnyard. Gets a bit more life as it warms, picking up more sour fruits. Initial is mellow and medium bodied, touches of berries and lemons mix gently up front. Gentle bretty funk, dust, and cobwebs mingle with bready malts, touches of spice, gentle yeast, and fruity qualities. Touches of apple, pear, and some more gentle sourness. Subtle sourness as brett takes the lead with the bready malts, gentle spice. Middle and finish dry up more, bretty funk and gentle fruits. Brett starts to dry firmly and really integrates well with the fruit, both tart berries and apple/pear sweetness, gentle sourness makes it’s appearance up front but definitely tapers out in the finish. Firm, funky, and pretty nice. Not as sour as I’d hoped, but the wild yeast works well enough here. Interesting, dry finish. Looks gorgeous overall. Flavors come in and out for me. A firm hopping provides synergy for the dry bretty finish. Not bad.

Medium to full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
Looks great, but sports the usual dirty Proef nose.

Very clean and backseat malt and hops. Very smooth with a nice sourness ending with a small kick of tartness. Correct carb, 90% clear, aroma is a bit absent but what is there is quite nice. A nice presence of mild wildness before the clean sour.
