11.2 oz bottle, purchased awhile ago at Julio’s. Damn it’s a gusher... After the foamy calmed down enough to get about 7 oz in my glass I noticed the hazy Amber color. Aroma is caramel candy, light funk, dusty yeast, light dark fruit.

The flavor is mostly as the aroma with a chewy thick malty dark fruit and yeast texture. The funk is here very lightly underneath all the malt. No ABV or oxidation found. No clue on the Batch number but it’s held up really well, except for losing 4 oz on the floor. And I should have open prior to now.... So much beer, so little time.

Draft. Golden pour, really nice brett character in this beer, its haylike and subtley funky but a nice medicinal meets tropical type flavor.

750mL bottle. Pours a hazy deep gold, big white head with outstanding retention and lacing. Nose: big funky lilies, barnyard, band aids, dried grass, clover honey. Mouth: creamy, mild sweetness up front, green apple, yeast spice, bitterness amps up mid-range, grassy, floral, bread dough, finishes with some booziness. Very nice! Oh yeah... and fuck the Kings.

Pours a cloudy orange brown from the bottle with minimal wisp of white head. Aroma of funky orange and caramel malts, hint of oak and banana. Taste follows, clean for the booze level, but you can feel the kick in the stomach. Nice but nothing crazy.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong funk, barnyard, yeast, and oak. Thin mouthfeel with light grain, wet biscuit, and funk. Easy to drink, very good.

Rated on 7-15-2009 (Corked & caged bottle) When poured, this beer forms a large, rocky, foamy, fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished, mostly transparent/slightly hazy golden body, and one ring of lacing. The Aroma is bready malt, brett, funky, yeast, citrus, and herbal hops. The Taste is sweet, yeasty, bready malt, lightly spicy, and citrus hops. The Palate is tingly and this beer is light bodied. Overall, I enjoyed this beer’s flavors and the 8.5%ABV was apparent, but not overly so. This beer tastes refreshing on a muggy Indiana summer day.

Aroma of rotten pear and other tart fruits, ever had ’peach barbeque?’ I am sensing that too. Weird yellowish tan color. Strange yeast effects. Clearly not a sour ale but has the tastes of one. Heavy dose of tart apples and pears, maybe grapes. Possibly barrel aged for a time. Hard beer to judge as there’s no immediate yardstick to measure it by. Not really my thing from a purely subjective standpoint.

Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle poured into a trappist glass. Pours deep golden with big chunks of yeast and off-white head. Medium/light body, medium carbonation, and thick big bubble lacing. Taste is pear. Reminds me somewhat of a tripel, not interested in having again.
