Pours a transparent dark golden with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of earthy dry citrusy hoppy character and some pale Belgian malt along with some leathery brett. Body starts lightly pale malty and sweet with a lot of brett and big citrusy bittering hops. Finishes drier with some lingering bitterness and crisp fresh hoppiness. An interesting and enjoyable hoppy Belgian.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2008 Pours a hazy deep golden copper color with a white head. Aroma is some green apple, brett, lots of juicy citrus hops. Flavor is some malts, fruit, brett, and a long grassy, grapefruit bitter finish.

Bottle from the MJ Rare Beer Club. Pours orange with a ince fluffy white head. Smells of citrus, flowers, some pine, some bret hints. Tastes mildly bitter and tarte with some nice peppery splashes, lots of hoppy bitterness. The balance isn’t quite what I was hoping on this one, but it was a nice experiment nonetheless.

On tap at the PIB 2007. Pours light golden with a soft white head. Tropical fruit aroma and flavor, pineapple, citrus, and floral hops, all wrapped up in a zesty spiciness. Dry and crisp in the finish. Very enjoyable beer although I didn’t get much of a west coast hop flavor from it.

Draft at the Seattle International Brewfest. Pours clear medium orange/amber with thick, fluffy off-white head. Grassy, floral, lemony nose. Attack is soft but a bit tingly. For the mid-palate, all the same notes from the nose return to go ’round again. Very dry lemony pucker of a finish. The promotional materials mention West Coast hops, but they never materialize.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2007 An amazing collaboration from 2 completely different styles of brewing. Quite possibly the perfect beer for me. Cloudy dark golden with fluffy off-white head. Amazing aroma and taste. Fresh pine and floral hops, some citrus and the distinct taste of brett yeast. Well balanced and not too sweet. Quite simply, an insanely perfect mix of Belgian brewing and West coast hops.
Re-rate from on tap at Uber 7/21 - I ain’t changing a thing....I love this beer.
