Courtesy of Redlight. Thanks Brent for sharing this rare treat. Poured a golden blonde with a thin white head. The aroma was of citrus fruits, spices, and some hops. The taste is pretty similar with a mild blend of sweetness and spices together. It had some malts in there and some brett like characters, but not real sour. This was an interesting blend of a lot of things. It finished off clean with some spices in the background. Nice collaboration with this one, glad I got to try it.

Courtesy redlight. Thanks Brent!! Pours gold with a small white head. A little bit hoppy, some citrus in the aroma. Pretty mild all the way through. Some spices are present. The taste is somewhat hoppy and spicy mixed together. Not a real character to this beer. It seems to be a couple different things at once, which was interesting, and pleasant. Some mild sweetness comes through, but blends in well with the hops and mild malts. Pretty good brew.

Hoppy, grassy, sweet and spicy in the aroma. Pours golden blonde. Piney, with hints of citrus, sweetness, hints of brett like flavors. I wonder if this will sour up in some time? Nicely carbonated and easy to drink for 8.5%.

Appearance: Pours a hazed, dark golden body with a white, creamy-looking head. Smell: A notably spicy, fragrant aroma generous with itís amount of grass, pine, and Brett that inspires alot of green, earthy imagery. Taste: Faint pale malt sweetness with stronger flavors of pine and grass and flickers of white pepper and citrus. Finishes semidry with a slight lingering of bitterness and pepper. Am I mad in saying itís like a beer-inspired chutney? Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Full, lively carbonation. Sticky mouthfeel. Drinkability: A pretty good beer, itís release should be good news for any fans of the latest trend of hoppy Belgians.

Bottle. Didnít notice any brett, but what I did notice was this this is by far my favorite highly hopped, Belgian-style beer. Very nice and drinkable. Smooth w/ a hearty hop finish.

Honey-straw hue with vigorous carbonation and a bubbly white head. First thoughts are of Orval with all of the brett and hops, but the hops are much more grassy- and citric-American in this beer. Bananas, pepper, pineapple, tarragon aromas. Very bright and dry with prickly carbonation. Citric and bready to start, finishes with lots of pepper and pine. Lingering doughy taste. Light in body with a slick texture and fierce carbonation. Should improve as the brett picks up, but already very good.

Thereís a lot of phenols in this one, but it really works. Peppery, pretty dry. A little on the yeasty side. Fairly hoppy.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2007 #400!!!!!!! ml Michael Jacksons beer of the Month Club. Very tasty. Yeasty, band aidish aroma. Probably the Brett. Pours a nice lasting head. Really like this brew. Some bitterness evident but the Belgian yeast seems to dominate in a good fashion. well done. cant wait to enjoy the next 3 750ís.

Yellow/Golden color, clear with a thin white head with low head retention and good lacing. Earthy yeast aroma and leather Brett. aroma with sweet malt aroma and low hop aroma. Sweet malt first and then the yeast and Brett. take over with a low hop flavor and bitterness that drys into the lingering finish. medium light body and smooth mouthfeel. Alcohol warming into the finish, Very complex!

Pours a transparent dark golden with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of earthy dry citrusy hoppy character and some pale Belgian malt along with some leathery brett. Body starts lightly pale malty and sweet with a lot of brett and big citrusy bittering hops. Finishes drier with some lingering bitterness and crisp fresh hoppiness. An interesting and enjoyable hoppy Belgian.
