UPDATED: AUG 19, 2008 Bottle. Papsoes MadsBerg homecoming blindtasting, bottle #28. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Mild hoppy orange fruity. Light butterish note too. Fruity caramel malt base. Light hoppy orange fruity flavour towards the finish. Has a medium dry bitterness and a mild fruity finish.7-3-7-3-13=3.3

75 cL bottle, batch 2 tasted at Lost Abbey. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Yeasty, caramel and mild brett dry aroma. Flavour is dry and with a light brett accent to a classic belgian caramel an yeasty base beer. Complimenting the beer quite well and breaking the otherwise slight cloying mix with a nice dry crispness. Mild dry and yeasty finish. Smooth and delicious. 8-3-8-4-16=3.9

Bottled.A hazy amber beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel. The falvor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, and grapefruit, the alcohol gives it a good body and leaves a slight burn on the palate. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of FlacoAlto. Slightly hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma of yeast and fruit. Medium body with sweet fruit and yeast and a fairly bitter finish. Nothing wrong with it - it’s just plain boring. And how it made it to an average of 3.86 really is one of this world’s great mysteries. 190608

Bottled, thanks cquiroga! Hazy amber, airy head. Yeasty orangey nose. Warming alcohol hidden in a soft body together with orangey and resiny hops. Evident Belgian style flowery, alomndy yeast character. Quite bitter finish.

17th June 2008. This reminded me a lot of ’Deus’ but fortunately the water chesnut flavour is much pared down here and is balanced by orange and grapefruit. Soft dry finish. A bit different.

Light straw colour. Very expressive perfume character with hints of dusty yeast and alcohol. Firm, perfumey taste. OK, didn’t strike me in any way though.
