bright ale with a nice topping. However to much alcohol taste. Too much yeast taste at the end.

Appearance is of rich amber hue. A fair amount of head protects the magic inside. The nose brings fresh doughy intro that follows with toasted grain mash. I do miss the hops though. This Belgian made collaboration has a solid malt backbone with plenty of residual sugar. The yeast does have its chance to make a statement as well but much more subdued The hops show up to clean the palate and leave their mark leaving me longing for another sweet malty sip to start anew. Overall a very balanced collaboration that speaks both old and new world beer.

A really good beer. The wildness and tartness of the brettanomyces is perfect for a Belgian ale. Furthermore, the idea of a collaboration ale is exactly what the brewing industry is looking for. On to the beer... The beer pours orange with a thick white head that diminished quickly. Aromas are strongly influenced by the american hops that are heavily used, in a similar way to a double ipa, with the addition of yeasty, belgiany sweetness. The flavors are first sweet (malty) and yeasty, followed by strong dry bittering hops. The malts are sweet and taste like citrus and apple, with an herbal and spicy touch (grains of paradise?). The sweetness quickly leads to a dry hoppiness that is nicely balanced by the sourness of the farmhouse yeast. A very good beer but could use a little more complexity. Overall impression is balance.

I’m not the biggest fan of the lighter belgians so I’m sure that affected my rating... that being said, it has wonderful carbonation and a sweet bread character that makes it pretty drinkable. It was nice to have a little citrusy hop flavor in the undertones as well. I did not expect that from the style. Good beer but just not really my cup of tea

Fantastic brew! I opened this beer last week for the third time and have cravings all the time. (Maybe that’s the alcoholism) Light in color, well balanced, banana, and other fruits are present. Tommie really shines thru this one.
